The adinkra symbols

Dating as far back as the 13th century and originating from Ghana, West Africa - adinkra symbols are a collection of visual symbols holding significant cultural and historical meaning. Symbols used to communicate messages and convey values and wisdom.

Commonly found in indigenous textiles, pottery and woodcarvings they form the bedrock of ADINKRA's design philosophy.

ADINKRA's pieces pay homage to Ghana's adinkra and explore Africa's other 53 countries discovering their adinkra  equivalent.
