The Iconic Ties
Keeping in the high quality spirit of our inaugural and flagship tie the NSAA, ADINKRA ties are made from 36oz double A grade silk printed by one of the two remaining mills in Macclesfield, England - renowned for being the home of the UK's silk industry.
Our ties fuse contemporary with traditional, literally. Vivid African wax print known colloquially as 'Trad' or Ankara fabric is woven with the silk to form the large and small inner tipping assuring that splash of African colour with every tie flick.
To maintain our inaugural tie's spirit of 'excellence, genuineness and authenticity' each ADINKRA London tie is and always will be hand-finished.
Manufacturing of each tie takes place in South England at a workshop with its founders' family history in tailoring dating back to the mid 1800s.
